TEST
OUTS
Test-Outs
Schedule
|
Description:
|
Access to the regional, state, and national law enforcement systems requires
the terminal operator's proficiency to be tested and re-affirmed every
two (2) years. This re-affirmation is accomplished through the test-out
session.
The "Test-Out" is a combination of written questions and practical
exercises and can be taken in lieu of attending classes. Test-outs are
used to verify an operator has retained a certain level of proficiency
so they can be re-certified.
Individuals should sign up for the test-out session that best fits their
schedule. Each session will be "open enrollment," meaning the
certification level and topics to be tested will be determined by the
student—not the schedule. Therefore individuals with different certification
levels can attend the same test-out session. The tests given will depend
upon the level of re-certification being sought. An operator may leave
when the tests are complete. The test-out time is a maximum of 3 hours
for a Level 2 certification. Other certifications will be less than 3
hours.
A minimum grade of 70% is required to pass or become re-certified. A
lower score will result in termination of access until such time as the
appropriate classes have be taken.
The Training Unit can be contacted at (314) 535-1950 to discuss special
needs test-out scheduling.
