General Agency Information

Police services for any area are provided by that community's police or sheriff's department or under contract by another jurisdiction. Principle law enforcement agencies are the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for the City of St. Louis and the St. Louis County Police Department which serves the unincorporated area of St. Louis and under contract to various municipalities.

The City and County are served by an E-911 system for emergencies that require police, fire or Emergency Medical Service crews.

Several web sites carry information of interest to police and the general public. Here are a few sites to start your research.
